      There are some mixups in either the lineage by Frank B. Woodward in Alex J. Groesbeck, Portrait of a Public Man or in the work done by Dr. Joseph Druse or that adon by Gail Quackenbush.

      Nicolaas Jacobse Groesbeck left Holland in 1627 and married Elizabeth ? (Steens). Their child was William Claas Groesbeck.
      William Claas Groesbeck married Gertrude Schuyler. Their child was Nicholas Groesbeck.
      Nicholas Groesbeck married Marytje Quackenbos, 13 Dec 1691. Their child was William, b. 1712, Albany, NY.

      Problem: Maritje/Marytje Quackenbos (b. 13 Sept. 1691) was the daughter of Wouter Quackenbosh and Neeltje Gybertse Van Den Bergh.
      Geertrui (b ca 1676) was the sister of Maritje and she married Johannes Claase Groesbeck, 17 Dec. 1699.
